Fall 2019 NEWSLETTER
CAMPS & RETREATSThis year camp was awesome!
68 community members (children, youth and parents) had the opportunity to attend Qwanoes. They had a blast! Many encountered the Lord and some made faith commitments! Summer retreats were also great! 9 young adults attended a Qwanoes Retreat in May. 15 youth attended the Waymaker retreat, a partnership between InterAct Ministries and North American Indigenous Ministries |
CAMPING TRIPSBoundless:
Mark, Donny, 19 youth, and several mentors had a great trip! Not only did the youth love the lake, they also enjoyed campfires and amazing food. Mark led the group in discipleship through storytelling, as well as a cooking and cleaning workshop. Post Secondary: A highlight of the young adults’ summer is their annual camping trip. This year 11 individuals enjoyed time together, and with God, at Golden Ears. |
COMMUNITY BBQThis August event was all about family! Boundless youth brought family that we hadn’t met, a father spent time with his children who are in foster care, and three generations of a family enjoyed time together. For activities, a young man coming from a recovery centre brought a friend who led team-building activities and a young lady from the Post Secondary program did face-painting. Shout-out to Peace Church on 52nd for their wonderful job on lunch! The food was delicious.
