Dean Dahl is a national and international connector and community builder with over 25 years of experience in senior nonprofit leadership, bringing creative vision, executive leadership, and grassroots growth to help build vibrant, purpose-driven communities. Outside of his work, Dean enjoys many outdoor activities, including cycling, skateboarding, snowboarding, music, as well as spending time with his family.
Jenny has dedicated her life to supporting inner-city youth through teaching, program development, and mentorship. She founded Inner Hope in 2007 and served as Executive Director until 2026. She now works within the community, journeying alongside youth and alumni, and engaging in advocacy to help make our city a better place.
Mark, a longtime Inner Hope leader and First Nations community member (with roots in Sandy Bay, Manitoba), grew up in Vancouver and now serves with a deep heart for community. He enjoys games, basketball, and family adventures.
Dara brings over ten years of non-profit experience and a deep commitment to supporting youth and families. She feels drawn to work that strengthens community and creates space for people to thrive. Dara loves being part of Inner Hope and enjoys time with her family, good coffee, and being outdoors.
Damaris has a heart for youth, with a background in education and HR management. From an early age, she sensed a calling to walk alongside youth, especially those navigating challenging circumstances. She’s excited to serve with Inner Hope and enjoys nature, a good cup of tea, and meaningful stories.
Vivi is passionate about served in diverse communities through living cross-cultural experiences. Raised in a pastor’s family, she values faith, culture, and connection. She enjoys nature, arts, dance, music and watching sports.
Support and Spiritual Care
John and Jenn Johnstone are committed to Indigenous cultural engagement and reconciliation. John is Stó:lō from Leq'a:mel First Nation and is a 60's scoop survivor.
They serve with Multiply and support Inner Hope through education, bridge-building, and cultural connection.
Life Skills Programs
Richie, from the Lil'wat Nation, has been with Inner Hope since 2014.
Passionate about youth ministry, he now serves as Coordinator, combining mentorship with his love of guitar and hockey.
Nate has been journeying alongside young people with the Inner Hope community for over 10 years, building deep and meaningful relationships along the way. Outside of his work, he enjoys family time, good coffee, thoughtful conversations, hockey, music, and cooking.
Housing (The Home)
Samantha and Jonathan, longtime Inner Hope supporters and practicing counsellors, are loving their current live-in role with the community. They enjoy walks, black coffee, and quality time with friends and family.
Finances
Sandra enjoys a variety of hobbies that bring balance and creativity to her routine. Whether it's solving puzzles, reading historical novels, hiking local trails, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, she finds joy in both quiet reflection and active exploration. On weekends, you might also find her volunteering at community events or attending local art shows, always appreciating the details just as much as in her own work.
